How cold? You ask. So cold that when I was laying in the snow for some shots it felt like sand. The heavy mist on Lake Superior was ethereal, especially with the Ariel Lift Bridge wrapped in it's guaze.
Amelia and Chris walk along the snowy rock and shore, not a care in the world. We all watch an eagle circle over the unfrozen water. Another was in a tree.
I meet a couple out for a drive they stopped to see the ice, he almost falls in; they laugh. I show him a good shot of the ice teeth made by the waves. And, I loved her boots.
Its beginning to feel like the -22° f (with wind) that it is. I take one last image with the TARDIS, then we retreat from the serenity of the shore.
To KFC.

Week of fun
Its been one week with the new Facebook page for my images at northern road photograpy. Thank you everybody who have subscribed! I have been having a great time finding old images to post. Like I said before, I'm trying not to inundate with mass postings.
I was a tad cold when I went on a short jaunt this morning. It was a "duh" moment when realized I didn't have socks on in my Wellingtons. Its needless to say my feet were red and throughly frozen through; but the light was nice. I got a few usable shots with the morning's frost. Some of them involved kneeling in the snow on the side of the road by a pond. Brr... Note to self, bring yoga mat when doing snowy macro!
I'm rambling...
My feet are still cold!

Thank You, and a New Page
I take a lot of photos...A LOT! I am finally going to house them on their own page Northern Road Photography; my thoughts will be here. Its not at that I didn't have a confidence in their worthiness or my competence as a photographer...its that I always see something that could translate differently in an image. Therefore, I never feel finished with anything.
My thanks:
To Chris who indulges my whims and wishes with oodles of camera and hiking gear. Who is my pilot and guide into the northernmost untraveled roads of Minnesota, surrounding states and Canada, THANK YOU!
To Joe, who pushed me to do a page. You are right it is for yourself!!! 100 per cent!!! THANK YOU!
To everyone who enjoys my photography, thank you! You make it fun to share a part of myself with.
